Welcome, This is one of the oldest horeca premises in Antwerp. Known as "Het Palinghuis", Het Nieuwe Palinghuis has been in the hands of Erik Haentjens for 20 years. He successfully runs this establishment together with his companion, Gonda Vanhulle. The boss himself cleans all the fresh fish, which guarantees both quality and freshness, and he comes to the tables in person to tell about his market suggestions. From home-made shrimp croquettes, scallops with truffles, Alaska king crab claws and pizzaiola langoustines to ray with browned butter... A splendid wine list with a wide range of new world wines. The setting is rural, pleasant with more than 100 old black and white photographs of Antwerp on the walls. The toilets are worth visiting because of the original toilet seat!
